Meet the Board

BARRY SHIPP: Chief Executive Officer

Barry Shipp is a peer support specialist and community leader dedicated to advancing solutions for homelessness. As founder and CEO of Pivot Point Transitional Housing, he leverages his background in outreach with Roof Above to engage and empower individuals experiencing homelessness. A recognized advocate and 2023 SEED20 Grand Prize winner, Barry is committed to developing shelter communities that provide safe housing and a pathway to long-term stability.

DREW HEDRICK: Chair

Drew Hedrick is a construction manager with experience leading complex residential projects, including occupied renovations and ground-up development. He brings valuable expertise to Pivot Point’s housing initiatives.

DENISE LOCKHART: Board Member

Denise Lockhart brings extensive expertise in property management, real estate development, and community engagement to the Pivot Point board. Her passion for sustainable housing solutions and her hands-on experience with multifamily operations help drive our mission to build tiny home communities for the homeless in Charlotte and beyond.

DIANE MARCEL: Board Member

Diane has devoted more than 20 years to working in the nonprofit space. Her colleagues consider her a data guru, master tactician, and disrupter with the capacity to build and implement systems for operational efficiency. Ms. Marcel currently serves as treasurer. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, golf, and reading.

WILL CALLISON: Board Member

Will Callison is a North Carolina–based behavioral health executive with extensive experience in mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services. He is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.

CAROLINE LUBINSKY: Board Member

Caroline Lubinsky is an experienced communicator and managing editor with a passion for supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. With a background in social media, website development, press releases, and marketing collateral, she brings a strategic storytelling approach to advancing Pivot Point’s mission and outreach efforts.

WIL RUSSELL: Board Member

Wil Russell is an affordable housing construction manager with over 20 years of experience living and working in Charlotte. He specializes in building housing projects across the Southeast, with a focus on creating safe, accessible homes for families in need.

ANTOINE DENNARD: Board Member

Antoine Dennard is a strategic, customer-focused real estate and operations professional with over a decade of Fortune 500 experience. With deep expertise in property and portfolio management, financial analysis, and construction oversight, he has led complex projects across office, retail, and mixed-use assets. A TOBY Award recipient and Six Sigma Green Belt, Antoine brings strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational development skills to support Pivot Point’s mission.
